What you need to know about our Winter Internship Placement

Hello future consultants, are you ready to ignite your future? A career in consulting can open up doors to exciting possibilities, working on the issues that matter to you while making a real impact on the world.  At FTI Consulting, you’ll learn new skills, explore challenging and rewarding opportunities, and work with diverse experts who are invested in your growth. We are looking for talented interns and start taking applications in March.

Before you hit that "Submit" button on your application, here's a survival guide to help you navigate the journey from hopeful applicant to internship champion.

Get to know us

Research like a pro: Dive deep into our Prosple profile and the "Student" section on our website. Understand our areas of expertise, recent projects, and company culture.

Target your application: Don't send a generic resume! Tailor your experience/degree and skills to the specific internship you're applying for. Highlight relevant coursework, extracurricular activities, or volunteer work that showcases your analytical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and communication skills.

Prepare for the Recruitment Process

Telephone interview: A 20-minute initial conversation with our HR team member. Be prepared to answer common behavioural and motivational questions. Make sure you have some questions for us – we value curiosity.

Meet the decision-makers: A 30-45 minute face-to-face/virtual interview with our Hiring Managers. Prepare for in-depth questions about your degree/past experiences and how you demonstrate skills relevant to the internship. Be genuine and articulate. Bring specific examples to life and ask insightful questions. Remember to dress professionally.

Bonus Tips for Internship Glory:

Network, network, network: Connect with our employees on LinkedIn, attend industry events, and don’t hesitate to seek career advice. This shows initiative and genuine interest.

Practice makes perfect: Mock interviews with friends or career advisors can help you refine your answers and boost your confidence.

Stay positive and persistent: The process can be demanding, but don't get discouraged. Stay focused, highlight your strengths, and learn from each step.
