We're one big whānau who go big to deliver great experiences and outcomes for the People of Tamaki. We are working with the tertiary institutes and providers across NZ to offer a brand new offering in the Internship space with a four week Virtual Engineering Internship.

If successful, you and your team of five colleagues will deliver a project over four weeks with the support of one of AT's mentors, presenting your findings back to leaders within the business at the end. Sound like fun?

  • Infrastructure projects on a scale like nowhere else in NZ, such as rebuilding the sea wall along Quay street, so it is here for future generations.
  • Creation of new cycleways and walking paths to increase safety, connect ways to travel and provide more choice for our communities.
  • Sustainability programmes not only for AT but in how we build new infrastructure projects.
  • Creation of new digital apps for journey planning and visibility of number of travellers on buses.
  • Safety programmes and support for schools and walking school buses.

Who are we looking for?

You will be currently studying a Bachelor or Master's degree in Engineering at a New Zealand university and be in your second year or higher. As this opportunity is virtual, you can take part from anywhere as long as you have a computer and internet connection!

You will also:

  • Have exceptional written and verbal communication
  • Enjoy working collaboratively and using your strong interpersonal and influencing skills.
  • Be passionate about problem-solving and critical thinking
  • Energetic, self-motivated, results-driven and adaptable.

You must be available to work 20 hours per week virtually between Monday 20th June to Sunday 17th July to be considered for this opportunity.
