 What will you do?

We have an opportunity for a Graduate Mechanical Engineer to join our Christchurch Energy & Industrial team.  This position is one based on the sustained growth of our business in Christchurch and will primarily work with clients spanning the oil & gas, mineral processing and water sectors.

We know the work we do is vital in assisting our world's economic development and, it's the technical expertise and the depth of knowledge of our people that really sets us apart. Here are the key things you will do to 'bring ideas to life'.

  • Mechanical design for fluid systems, specifically; sizing and specifying fluid handling equipment such as pumps, compressors, filters, tanks, pressure vessels, dosing systems, packaged plant for water treatment, hydrocarbons or chemical industries
  • Preparation of design, design calculations, plant layout, data sheets, specifications, scopes of work, equipment, line and valve lists
  • Participation in HAZOP and Safety in Design processes

Firstly, you will share our genuine passion for re-imaging engineering and be someone that actively pursues continuous learning to help shape the future. Here are the key things you will need to 'bring ideas to life'.

  • Studying for a bachelor's degree in engineering, ideally in a Mechanical discipline.
  • Ideally graduates in 2021, with the ability to work full time from February 2022.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to interact with clients and multiple stakeholders.

Use your ability to initiate and build relationships with both your peers and clients to push forward the boundaries of what is possible.
