2022 Graduate Structural Engineer - Darwin null

The role

Cardno is looking to recruit a Graduate Structural Engineer to join our Darwin team in 2022.

Our office is in centrally located in Darwin's CBD and we have been operating in the Territory for over 50 years. Cardno has also embraced 'Work Your Way', which enables flexible working tailored to your individual circumstance through an environment of empowerment and trust.

Ideally we are seeking graduates that are due to complete their studies by the end of 2021 and can be available for full time, permanent work in January 2022. As a graduate on our established 2 year Asia Pacific Graduate Development Program, you will learn all facets of engineering techniques, relevant software programs, and gain essential business skills to ensure your success in a global consulting environment.

You will be Making a Difference by –

• Gaining experience in a variety of structural engineering fields, including buildings, asset management, bridges and marine structures
• Participating in the delivery of projects and ensuring work output is of a technically high standard
• Completing design calculations and records within time and budget restraints
• Developing practical and commercial solutions to problems
• Undertaking work related training and self development for career advancement
• Collaborating with project staff and working within a team of technical specialists
• Coordinating, preparing and submitting proposals

About you

To be successful you will display –

• Tertiary qualifications in Engineering (Structural specialisation preferred) with completion by 2021
• A passion for structural engineering
• Proven ability to learn and apply new concepts
• The ability to work and collaborate within a team environment through well-developed interpersonal skills
• Strong verbal communication skills to be able to present and articulate ideas to a wide variety of stakeholders
• A positive, initiative driven and proactive attitude
