7.45 AM Waking Up

My day begins at 7:45 AM.  By 8:20 AM, I'm prepared for the day ahead.

9.00 AM Arrival at the Office

Today is a busy day with both production migration and team meetings, so I head to the office onsite. I arrive at 9:00 AM and start my day by checking emails to schedule any tasks that need to be completed. The view from office confirms what a beautiful day it is.

9.00 AM - 9.45 AM Morning Discussions

I’m part of the technical automation team, and my role involves handling infrastructure as code tasks on Azure. I have multiple projects to work on, covering both DevOps and App Development. So, high concurrency mode is turned on. I spend the first part of the morning discussing new provisions on Azure with my colleagues.

9.45 AM Coffee Break

I take a short break and grab a cup of coffee with my co-workers at a café downstairs. It's a nice little plaza where we can relax and chat for a bit.

10.15 AM - 11.00 AM  Focused Work

Back at my desk, I work alone, concentrating on coding and configuring more infrastructure services on the cloud until 11:00 am.

11.00 AM - 11.45 AM  Daily Team Meeting

We have our daily team meeting at 11:00 AM. Our team is very supportive, and the meetings are casual but efficient. I provide a brief update on my current work and discuss the next steps for the project. The meeting ends at 11:45 am, followed by some more technical discussions about cloud architecture and an Ansible session hosted by Red Hat.

12.30 PM  Lunch Break

I head out for lunch with a couple of colleagues who are also my friends.

1.30 PM - 2.30 PM  Afternoon Work Session

Back at work by 1:30 pm, I switch gears to work on a different app development project. This involves planning the application architecture and programming frontend authentication using Azure integrations.

2.30 PM - 3.15 PM  I & I Team Meeting

I have a meeting with the innovation and improvement team about an AI application project. We discuss the timeline and technology stack to use, aiming to break silos and find the best solutions for our needs. The meeting is easy going and relaxed, with no pressure being placed on me.

3.15 PM - 4.00 PM Team Interactions

I have a few casual conversations with some of my colleagues, learning about their projects and sharing thoughts on different topics.

4.00 PM - 4.45 PM  Wrapping Up

By 4:00 pm, I check my emails again to ensure all urgent tasks are addressed. I spend the last part of my workday doing some reading and research on new technologies that could be useful for future projects.

4.45 PM  Heading Home

I head home, enjoying a good work-life balance. Once home I get ready to go for a run around my neighbourhood. It’s a great way to cap off such a nice and fulfilling workday at the office.
