Your role

IDD Tech is a wholly owned subsidiary of CIMIC Group Limited. It develops Integrated Digital Delivery software solutions for clients across the infrastructure, resources, and services sectors.

CIMIC Group Limited is the parent company of IDD Tech and its other Operating Companies. CIMIC sets the strategic direction, financial expectations, risk profile, and governance framework for the CIMIC Group and monitors the performance of its Operating Companies.

The primary purpose of this role is to assist in delivering the Instrumentation & Monitoring and Sensor Tech portfolio. The successful candidate will act as a member of the SensGrid team to fulfil the requirements of the business and the clients. 

Key responsibilities for the role include: 

  • Work with and support the stream to deliver I&M and Sensor Tech business, technology, and project support
  • Work with and support the stream to deliver SensGrid software design, development, and implementation
  • Assist in delivering the Instrumentation & Monitoring and Sensor Tech portfolio
  • Assist in developing capability of I&M and Sensor Technology
  • Assist to manage resources and ensure a cost-effective arrangement/plan to be delivered on operations and projects
  • Assist in managing risk, support issues and team building, and report any outcome to the direct manager
  • Ensure effective collaboration and communication with the client
  • Collection, study and sharing of knowledge and technical solutions
  • Visit project sites and participate in required investigation and work with project site induction, e.g., Safety
  • Comply with, use, support and promote Company’s Safety and Health Management Plan and Quality Manual
  • Ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders including other IDDTech portfolios and teams, and CIMIC OpCo clients

Training & development

You'll receive structured, on-the-job training, guided learning plans and leadership mentoring. Over the two-year program, you will experience two one-year rotations with placements in various roles, and projects within the CIMIC Group. Having the opportunity to rotate across companies as well as projects provides you with greater opportunities to build your career.

About you

Education and Qualifications required for this role:

  • Tertiary Degree (Bachelor level) in a Computer Science and/or an Engineering discipline.

Experience, Skills and Behavioural Competencies required for this role:

  • Basic knowledge of coding languages, including C#, Javascript, Java, and/or Python
  • Basic knowledge of front-end/User Interface libraries, e.g., ReactJS
  • Basic knowledge of Databases, e.g., SQL and Query scripts
  • Basic knowledge in Engineering
  • Basic Software development experience, including assessments/projects in the university
  • Knowledge and experience of C#, ReactJS and SQ
  • Basic knowledge of Cloud services and architectures, e.g., Azure, AWS
  • Basic knowledge of Sensor Technology and Usage
  • Experience in using Database in Software and Database management
  • Experience and Knowledge of Geographic Information Systems (GIS)
  • Experience in Project (work-related) planning and management
  • Experience in Software System/Application Maintenance and Management
