KPMG is hiring for an Analyst - Research role for the Gurgaon location.

Roles and responsibilities

We are recruiting for an Analyst in the Research and Benchmarking team. Working as an Analyst in this team, your responsibilities will include:
 

  • The financial assessment is performed for suppliers based out of various geographies, mainly the US, Europe, Japan, China, etc. and each country has a different way of reporting financials basis the regulation followed
  • This entails the study of line items on various parameters of regulation followed e.g. IFRS, GAAP, Japanese GAAP, etc.
  • The core activity is to pull out relevant financial data from the quarterly/ half-yearly /annual accounts of the suppliers and fill in the standard excel-based template
  • Consistently engage with suppliers, communicating the requirements while proactively managing the communication flow throughout, via email/ phone calls
  • Additional responsibility includes:
  • Deliberating the pending line items/ tasks with onshore leads
  • Financial statements retrieval
  • Client onboarding into KPMG systems

 

Education / professional qualifications

  • Only B. Com / Hons. Graduate Degree from Tier 1 or Tier 2 College (would not entertain apart from this)

Communication Skills

  • Excellent Communication

Prior Experience

  • Good understanding of financial statement analysis, key financial ratios, and elementary knowledge of IFRS and GAAP
  • Ability to prepare a standard financial template where Balance Sheet, Income Statement, and Cash Flow Statement information is captured from company financials
  • Ability to synthesize quantitative data appropriately and efficiently
  • Proficiency in working on MS Excel-based templates
  • Meet all internal/ external timelines and provide solutions in case of delays
  • Work reasonably independently, with appropriate supervision and guidance from team leads
  • Self-motivated to work on such kinds of engagements within tight deadlines and in demanding situations
  • Highly articulate, with excellent verbal and written communication skills to manage supplier and client communication
