Leidos is a large scale prime systems and services integration company weaving together information technology, engineering and science to deliver unique, practical and usable solutions to our customers’ most complex challenges. Leidos deliver applications for a wide range of missions in the Surveillance and Reconnaissance domain as well as health solutions. Leidos work mostly with the Australian Government and provide critical projects to the Australian Defence Force, support the IT environment for the Australian Taxation Office and work with the Department of Home Affairs, the Bureau of Meteorology and several legislative councils.

Requirements to work at Leidos

Like other suppliers to the Intelligence industry, Leidos requires candidates to be Australian Citizens and be able to obtain and maintain an Australian Government Security Clearance. Those students who do not meet these requirements will unfortunately not be considered for a graduate role at Leidos Australia.

Michelle Israel - National Early Careers Lead

Michelle Israel is the National Early Careers Lead at Leidos Australia and she looks after all of the graduates, interns and trainees across Australia. She has been at Leidos and in the early carers space for over 6 years and is passionate about helping individuals starting out in their careers or individuals making a career change and setting them up for success. Prior to Leidos Michelle worked in recruitment and organisational development across a variety of industries and sectors including Business and Finance, Healthcare, Local and State Government. She started her career as a graduate.

Murray Bruce – Vice President of Science, Engineering and Technology (SET)

Murray Bruce is the Science, Engineering and Technology (SET) Vice President at Leidos Australia, where he and his team are delivering powerful benefits for customers through collaboration, bold decision making and innovation. They are focused on being essential and making a critical difference for the customer. Murray has extensive experience working across Australia and New Zealand in the finance, telecommunications, government, communications and natural resources sectors. He also held integral roles supporting the Department of Defence through significant information systems consolidation and transformation. Murray’s recent focus in Leidos has been on integrating our newly acquired Airborne Operations, strengthening our Mission Software Factory and expanding our early careers program to bring in even more interns and graduates per year.

Alister Roe - Software Engineer

Alister is a Software Engineer at Leidos Australia. In his role he analyses and develops integrated solutions for both new and existing products, as well as constructing and testing end-user applications that meet the customer’s needs. He operates as a full stack developer involved in both the frontend and backend of the applications of interest. He joined Leidos in 2021 as a Graduate Software Engineer and prior to joining Leidos he successfully completed his bachelor degree of Software Engineering at RMIT. He is passionate about problem solving using software, scripts and data analysis.

Belinda Terry - Business Analyst

Belinda Terry is a Business Analyst at Leidos Australia. In her current role she works on a Defence health project allowing for the development of both technical and people management skills through gaining exposure to a range of tasks and stakeholders. Leidos has afforded her opportunities to develop her interests in Project Management and engaging with work related to the Deployed domain. She joined Leidos in 2022 after completing a double degree of Commerce/Arts at the Australian National University.

Isaac Daly - Software Engineer

Isaac is a Software Engineer at Leidos, with a Master of Software Engineering with Distinction from the University of Melbourne and a Bachelor of Science from the University of Canterbury. He works as a full-stack engineer using technology ranging from Rust to TypeScript, working on complex and performant systems to solve customer needs. Isaac is passionate about learning and has a drive to push the envelope. He enjoys working with his team, customer, and people across the business.
