Please describe your company's culture both in the office and after hours. Let us know about the structure and hierarchy, cooperation and teamwork, and socialising amongst colleagues.
I think as a lot of the staff have grown up in the company, from being apprentices/graduates to where they are today, there is still a bit of a feeling of hierarchy- grads, junior this, senior that. However, although these titles exist, I have never felt belittled for being a graduate, nor unable to contribute or speak up. In fact, I have found many people around me pushing to give me greater opportunities to make a difference, trusting entire projects and processes to me and empowering me to take ownership of them. On the socialising aspect, the graduates socialise whenever we are in the office together, although we are in different teams, and each group has different schedules for social events. There is a social club in each depot region, meaning there are events every so often/monthly or so, whether that be drinks after work on a Friday or a family-friendly weekend event.

In most parts of the company, the culture is very good. Friendly, casual, low pressure socialisation happens regularly. People are always willing to help and work together. Bosses are generally helpful, and empower employees to succeed. A few places in the company, stress levels are higher, people are less supportive and hierarchy is stricter.

Social club occurs monthly, but I personally got along with my grad group and hang out regularly during our RDO's and weekends
There is a big focus on safety, which includes wellbeing and of course work life balance. We have access to fortnightly RDOs and rarely do I work much overtime. There are opportunities to get involved with other employees, sometimes you do have to seek them out though. All the teams I have spent time in have really great dynamics and everyone's contribution is valued.
There is an abundance of friendly individuals who are more than happy to take time out to enrich your individual experience within the workplace and share their knowledge and expertise. We are encouraged as much as possible to see everyone as a level playing field, which is beneficial to all. As a graduate, I find it easy to speak to those in higher positions than myself as the company recognises we are on a level playing field. Outside of hours, fellow graduates frequently spend time together and have a sense of community amongst our peers.
Most teams are very inclusive and are cooperative, particularly for grads. Overtime is culturally not the norm.

Everyone is very nice and has time to chat - at times High level managers have taken time out of their days to introduce themselves, and just have a general chat as if they were just another graduate.

I applaud the enthusiasm toward the transfer of knowledge from senior and experienced colleagues. I do, however, believe that this "teaching" should be engrained into individual's performance objectives.

Great work culture with very supportive peers and managers. Social club holders a monthly gathering for members - great for networking

Strict hierarchy and chain of command. Socialising is limited after work as many people have other commitments.

Very friendly and welcoming. Always willing to help and everyone is very generous with their time.
The office is very corporate and carefully guarded, however the construction site offices are amazing places with great vibes
The Grad program gives you early access to begin lifelong connections with colleagues and access an opportunity to be guided by the industry's best leaders.
