Every project I’ve been involved in helped me learn a new skill, alongside using problem solving techniques to determine the best tools/processes/framework to complete my tasks.
A common saying in the corporate world is “It’s not what you know, but who you know”. Use your time as a grad (and beyond!) to network with people and create your personal brand, you never know when a relationship may prove advantageous.
I would recommend the DSS Graduate Programme to students from all disciplines. You will get an opportunity to work on projects that are truly meaningful, projects that directly affect the wellbeing of citizens of Australia.
After I get back from lunch, I finish off compiling the requested feedback changes. My manager suggests I remind our stakeholders that all feedback needs to be in by the end of the week. My manager gives me some advice on how to approach this.
