one of my colleagues is trying to figure out why a build is failing for testing.  I’ve got some time while waiting for my script to finish, so I sit down and we debug it together.  We help each other out as we’re all working for the same mission.

Wherever we go we always have to check in either with the landholders or park rangers. This helps us build relationships with other land managers and also keeps us safe since they know where we are in case of an accident.

I love that my job still requires an application of electrical engineering theory – in some roles I have definitely had to dust off the old university textbooks and brush up on some concepts. The application of this theory and realising it out in the field is very rewarding.
